Happy Birthday, Rev. D. L. McQuinn!
It’s been 62 years since Rev. Don McQuinn made his appearance on this planet, bringing joy to his parents, 4 siblings and extended family members.
For 40 of those years we were blessed to share many birthdays and great celebrations with much laughter. as husband and wife.
And how Don loved family times and celebrations!
Now, that Don has headed homeward, we can join him by and by, but in the meantime we celebrate his birthday this year, in a very unique way, with the launching of the website for the Foundation named in his honour,
and to continue the celebration of the month in which he was born, a declaration was made by the Foundation…
The Declaration of Joy…was instituted by the foundation to be celebrated each year.
We chose to remember Don’s love for Christ, the gospel and people, by performing random acts of kindness in our various communities.
We bring joy not just to ourselves in giving of ourselves, but we can also bring joy to someone who is in need; many times Don experienced this, it was the source of that big smile that we all remember so well.
We encourage all who knew him to join us in this celebration, to celebrate with us by performing an act of kindness or two …and don’t forget to have a great BIG bowl of Strawberry Shortcake as well!
